Eagle Emeriti & Class of 1961 Reunion

Doors open 4:30 pm, Dinner 5:00 pm
Free for class members. Guests $15 (reservations required)
Join your fellow classmates as we celebrate the 50th reunion of the class of 1961 as well as those who have already been inducted as “Eagle Emeriti”. Pinning ceremony to follow the dinner. Formal invitations will be mailed in August.


9/22/2011 UPDATE: The taping schedule for Chelsea Lately has changed and Sarah Colonna will be unable to perform at AU. Below is the information for the new Comedian.

Dean Edwards has been making his mark in comedy following two successful seasons as a cast member on “Saturday Night Live.” With such memorable impressions as Don Cheadle, Michael Jackson and Denzel Washington, as well as such original characters as "Man in Elevator" and "Cop#2", Dean has pushed himself to the limits of creativity and exhaustion. Always the multi-tasker, Dean found the momentum to juggle his SNL career, his numerous standup appearances and multiple television appearances on tv. Dean most recently appeared in Showtime’s “Comics Without Borders, the nine-week comedy series which showcased multi-cultural stand-up comedians. Dean also helped workshop and create the character of Donkey for nearly 2 years, leading up to Dreamworks’ SHREK THE MUSICAL on Broadway.

PARKING INFORMATION
Visitors
Visitor parking will be available in Amstutz/Kem (Lot E), Maintenance/Andrews (Lot F), and Jefferson (Lot J) lots. You will ONLY be able to access these lots from Broad Street between the stadium and campus. All Claremont Avenue entrances will be blocked. A fee of $5 will be required per vehicle for game day parking. The tailgate lot (Lot F) will open at 10 am. The Amstutz/Kem (Lot E) and Jefferson ( Lot J) parking lots will open at 11:00 am.  To view a map of campus indicating other parking options, click

Disability Parking
Parking will be available for those fans with disabilities near the Jack Miller Stadium. There will be eighteen (18) spaces reserved in the Amstutz lot, and three (3) spaces reserved in the Andrews lot. A valid handicap parking tag will be required.

Recreation Center-Open to Alumni
9:00 am-10:30 pm (reservations required)
Start off your day with a workout in our state-of-the-art recreation center! Alumni wishing to use the recreation center will need a guest pass.

This event is designed for high school students who are legacies (children or grandchildren of Ashland alumni). It's a great opportunity to take a casual look at all that Ashland University offers while participating in Homecoming events! You will meet Ashland students on a group tour of our beautiful campus and learn more about Ashland's programs and organizations. You'll also have the opportunity to explore your career-related interests and experience coaching with our Career Services team.

Little Eagle Day - Ages 4-12
Recreation Center
The Department of Recreational Services and the Alumni Office will again be offering its annual Little Eagle Day. For a third consecutive year, Ashland University alumni have the opportunity to drop off their children at the Rec Center for age appropriate activities including swimming, the climbing wall, and various sport activities.  New for 2011, three sessions will be offered making Homecoming planning more family friendly.  These sessions include a morning session, an afternoon session, and then concluding the day will be a Dive-In Movie in the pool.  All "Little Eagles" will receive a free t-shirt and other giveaways during their stay at the Rec Center.  Make sure to take full advantage of this fun opportunity and give your children a hands-on experience of the excitement happening at Ashland University. Registration Deadline: October 7th
Camp Date: Homecoming Saturday, October 15th
Session 1 - 9:30 am-12:30 pm; Cost: $5 per camper
Session 2 - 1:30 pm-5:00 pm; Cost: $10 per camper (includes evening meal)
Dive-In Movie- 5:30 pm-7:00 pm; Cost: $5 per camper
*First camper is full price with each additional camper 50% off!
Maximum participants: 50 campers per session
*All campers should remember to wear athletic attire, gym shoes, and bring a swimsuit (Session 2 & Dive-In Movie Only).

5K Fun Run
10:00 a.m. (Reservations required)
Cost: $5 per person
Start off Homecoming with a 5K Fun Run ~ This event is open to everyone 18 years or older ~ the first 100 registrants receive a free giveaway.  Prizes will be awarded to the first male and female to finish the race and all who participate will be entered into a raffle for a prize pack.  Official results will not be recorded.  Please, no pets or strollers. The Rec Center will be open at 9:00 a.m. to change and shower before and after the race

Purple Eagle Silent Auction & Raffle

In addition to 150+ items available for our annual Silent Auction, the Alumni Board will be raffling off a 47” TV, a touch screen desktop computer and $500 cash! For a complete list of available items, click here. Proceeds from the auction support the Legacy Scholarship Program and the Annual Fund. A cash bar offering beer and wine will be available to the over 21 crowd.
 
     Raffle ticket information: Tickets may be purchased on the Homecoming reservation form. Tickets are $5 each or six for $25. Each ticket gives you the opportunity to win one of the following prizes: LG 47” LCD 1080p TV (model 47LD500); an Inspiron One 2305 all-in-one design computer (23-inch WLED backlit display, 1080p Full HD Screen); or $500 cash.  Winning tickets will be drawn during the Auction. You do not need to be present to win. Winners of the TV and computer will receive an IRS 1099 tax form. It is the winner’s responsibility to transport the TV and computer from Ashland University – delivery not available.
