It was in 1905 that the Ashland University Alumni Association was born with a membership of 96 alumni. Since then, we have grown and now boast over 47,000 members worldwide. As the AUAA embarks on its 104th year of connecting Eagles throughout the world, we invite you to join the pride, tradition and character that make up the Ashland University Alumni Association.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors is an involved Board of 25 alumni who meet four times a year to conduct the business of the Board. This is inclusive of the development of alumni programming which involves both activities and fund raising for the benefit of the University. Our meetings begin at 6:00 pm and are concluded by 8:30 pm and normally meet the second Tuesday of the assigned months. Dinner is served at all Board meetings. A variety of speakers will report on the University's activities and programs during dinner. Attendance at Board meetings is both mandatory as well as crucial to our success.
The Alumni Association Board of Directors is looking for alumni who would be interested in serving on the Alumni Board. The Alumni Board attempts to represent the University's alumni with a balanced board equally represented by class, gender and age. We seek candidates who have a variety of talents and expertise. Your name will be placed in the candidate pool for a period of three years.
There are five committees on the Alumni Board. The committees are: Homecoming, Ways & Means, Nominations & Awards, Alumni Engagement and Public Relations. New members will normally be placed on the committees with the greatest need. Our Board members are elected to serve a three year term, and are eligible for a second three year term if the member so chooses to continue his or her service.
